Beckett Trailer: John David Washington’s Intense New Netflix Thriller

Netflix has released the trailer for Ferdinando Cito Filomarino’s upcoming political thriller Beckett, starring John David Washington and Alicia Vikander.

While vacationing in Greece, American tourist Beckett (John David Washington) becomes the target of a manhunt after a devastating accident. Forced to run for his life and desperate to get across the country to the American embassy to clear his name, tensions escalate as the authorities close in, political unrest mounts, and Beckett falls even deeper into a dangerous web of conspiracy.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms Trailer Showcases Animated Summer Sequel

Warner Bros. Animation returns to the world of Mortal Kombat with the follow-up to Scorpion’s Revenge with a new animated film slated for home video release later this summer.

In Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms we pick up right after the events of Scorpion’s Revenge where our heroes are attacked by Shao Kahn. Raiden and his group of warriors are now forced into a deal to compete in a final Mortal Kombat that will determine the fate of the realms where they must travel to Outworld to defend Earthrealm. Meanwhile, Scorpion journeys to find the Kamidogu (a mystic relic made by the almighty Elder Gods) before it is used to bring back the mysterious One Being, who would destroy the universe.

Jolt Electrifies Kate Beckinsale in New Trailer

Amazon continues to pump out original material that would have been right at home in the movie theaters just a couple of years ago. Their latest is called Jolt, and it boasts an impressive cast headlined by Kate Beckinsale.

The film, which debuts on the streaming giant later this month, follows the story of Lindy, a bouncer with a homicidal tic. The film’s title comes from her attempt at self-control; electric shock. Once her friend is murdered, she sets out for revenge, while the cops target her as the prime suspect. Action ensues.

The Protégé – Maggie Q Finally Gets the Spotlight in New Trailer

This summer will see a flood of quiet movie releases as the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic starts to wind down a little here in the States, and among them will be The Protégé.

Originally slated for an April release, it seems the newest flick from director Martin Campbell has been pushed to August 20th for a national release in the US. The film is headlined by Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton, and of course – the incomparable Maggie Q.
