‘Eastbound and Down’ Teaser: Kenny Powers Rises From The Ashes for Season 4

The moment every single television viewer has been waiting for is almost here. A new teaser has been released to commemorate the spectacular return of America’s single greatest baseball player, role model, father figure, and lover of high class prostitutes. The 4th season of Eastbound and Down premieres on HBO in September, and the teasers show us… pretty much nothing.

Except for Kenny Motherf*cking Powers. Danny McBride reprises his fan favorite character in the newest season, which sees Kenny Powers apparently back in the big leagues. However, with the small amount the teasers have shown us we really can’t be sure of anything but more Kenny Powers greatness. Here is the first teaser that was released a while ago:

The League: Season 5 Promos Showcase Football Dudes and the Move to FXX

I know nothing about football. Seriously. I’ve picked up a couple athlete names over the years, and I can name a bunch of teams (both NFL and CFL) but really, I know nothing about football. Which says a lot about The League, as it has become one of my favorite shows on TV despite my lack of knowledge regarding their favorite sport. Funny is funny, and that’s what makes these following teasers amusing to a guy who barely understands them.

Do I know who these football players are? No. I do know they play football, and are known by the characters of The League, and damn it, that’s good enough for me. So while a lot of my fellow fans mention the appearance of this foozball star here or that foozball star there, I am more than happy to sit back and watch Taco be Taco.

Grizzly’s Casting Couch: ‘X-Force’

With the recently rumored X-Force film in development with Fox, speculation has begun over the possible members of the team and of course, who would be playing said mutants. Obviously there are no characters confirmed at this early stage of development, but recent tidbits from director Jeff Wadlow and Fox’s Cinematic Universe Consultant Mark Millar concerning the construction of the team and its members have opened the door for a unique team of X-Force to tackle Hollywood with.

The Setup: X-Force, a team of mutants led by the mysterious time traveler known as Cable, takes on missions that threaten the future of mutantkind. Their latest mission is to find a missing group of New Mutants who will potentially be important to the X-Men in the future.  X-Force discovers that the kids have been kidnapped by Mr. Sinister, a mad mutant geneticist, who is served by the deadly mutant killers known as the Marauders. Awesome action ensues, the X-Force team grows as New Mutants join up, and a future trilogy is hinted at, with Cable’s long time foe Apocalypse as the overall villain.

DC Animation Announces ‘Justice League: War’, ‘Son of Batman’, and ‘Assault on Arkham’

This year we saw no shortage of announcements from DC Entertainment, who shocked Comic Con by announcing a Man of Steel sequel to include Batman, as well as finally confirming the Flash and Justice League films. Knowing that their live action films are in the works, we also learned about the ongoing awesomeness that are the DC Animated Features.

Whereas Marvel Studios has been leading the charge in Hollywood, DC Entertainment has been absolutely crushing Marvel when it comes to full length animated films. Marvel has had a couple that aren’t terrible, but DC has been adapting storylines and releasing great animated films for years now.

SDCC 2013: ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Panel!

X-Men: Days of Future Past has already had a somewhat impressive showing in San Diego this year. Early on we got our first look at  the head of a Sentinel, and then later new character portraits featuring Bishop, which was another first look. While no panel was on the schedule, fans were hopeful for something during Fox’s time at SDCC.

Not that unexpectedly, Fox did indeed have a secret panel yesterday for X-Men: Days of Future Past. Rather unexpectedly, The entire cast from the film appeared on stage, an then held a panel. It was pretty extraordinary to see that many people on stage, and there is no doubt the fans were surprised.
