Gamer Preview: ‘Spider-Man: Edge of Time”

I can easily say that I was a huge fan of Beenox and Activision‘s Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions where you played four different versions of Spider-Man in a level based adventure. It was a nice change from most Spider-Man games that have come out in the last decade, especially when giving players the chance to play as Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Man Noir, and Symbiote Ultimate Spider-Man.

The game was good, not without a few issues, but overall I had fun playing it. But the best levels were easily Amazing (Noir was great but repetitive) and 2099 in my opinion, so I’m quite excited to hear the news that a sequel to Shattered Dimensions is coming out, and will focus on these two characters exclusively.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy – Episode 6

True to form, as soon as I post the last episode a new episode is released. And if you were having doubts about the series from the last 2-parter, prepare to have your faith renewed. While this episode is a little light on the action, it’s a great look into this new gritty world of Mortal Kombat brought to us by Kevin Tancharoen. Don’t take my word for it.

Gamers Gotta Get: Street Fighter X Tekken

Ever since Street Fighter X Tekken was announced last year, fans have been chomping at the bit for it. 2 out of 3 of the biggest fighting games out there, Mortal Kombat being the third, combining to bring us some seriously kick-ass action. I’m excited, Japan is excited, and you should be too. But as always, you don’t need to take my word for it. I bring evidence to the table.

First take a look at the cinematic trailer, which is pretty epic:

The Urban 30 Weekly Update! Season 5, Weeks 1-8

Welcome to the first edition of the Urban 30 Weekly Update here at Grizzly Bomb, and it’s something I’m definitely excited to bring you. For those of you that don’t know, The Urban 30 is a superhero blog that tells the story of a team of superheroes based in DC (the city, not the comics), with each character brought to you by a different writer with their own style and strengths.

The everyday lives, loves, friends and enemies of these heroes are covered every day of the week. The sky is the limit when it comes to the type of stories featuring the different members of the team. Back at Action News I started the weekly (sometimes monthly) update and I really enjoyed summing up the week for everybody, so I’m going to keep doing it here. If for no other reason than I love to shamelessly self promote anything I am involved with.
