More Than 25 Years Later, The Warriors Return to Coney Island

Last weekend, on famous Coney Island in New York, there was  a reunion as stars of the 1979 cult classic showed up at The Warriors Coney Island Reunion for a special screening of the movie at the Surf Pavilion.  Among those in attendance were Cleon, Cochise, Vermin, Fox and Swan.

From the Scrapheap: Iron Giant Remastered, Returning to Theaters and Toy Stores

The Iron Giant movie, which hit the theaters back in 1999, had it all. Great animation. Wonderful voice actors. And a heartfelt story. (Have tissues ready for the “Superman” scene.) So both critics and fans alike were a bit mystified when it didn’t rake in millions as later giant robot-with-human sidekicks films did a few years later. Was The Iron Giant ahead of its time?
