It seems no matter what comes out in the world of collectibles, there is always something on the horizon that is ready to blow you away. Well that feeling of amazement came over me again recently, and it was with great joy when I found out about a certain horror collector who has turned his house into a museum of oddities and bizarre forms of entertainment. This is called the Chainsaw Estate and boy do I want to book a visit.

Hiya Toys Release Awesomely Designed 1:18 Scaled Alien Figures

Collectibles. We here at Grizzly Bomb love them, and as a previous collector myself I am always on the lookout for some awesome new plastic creation that (if I cannot buy), I can at least talk about at some length. So it was pretty fantastic to come across Hiya Toys, a company that specializes in small 1:18 inch figures of some characters you may recognize.

The companies brief pretty much tells you that they are ready for business, and they’re not fooling around. This can certainly be seen in the work they have produced so far.

The Lightsaber: Science v. Fiction

An elegant weapon from a more civilized age, the lightsaber has fascinated fans and inspired scientists, but will the Jedi here on Earth ever have a chance to wield one?

Among the great stories, there was something else. Artwork. Amazing artwork which exploded from the pages you were reading.

From Princess To General: New Star Wars Canon Examines Leia’s Journey

The power of the force is stronger than ever, and the heroes of the Star Wars Saga are on fans minds as they haven’t been in decades. In honor of International Women’s Day, let us turn our thoughts to one of our bravest heroes, the rebel that started it all, Leia Organa (played by Carrie Fisher in the films). While fans well know the fate of her twin brother, her story is only just now being told.

From all corners of the Star Wars extended universe Leia’s back story is being laid out like so many puzzle pieces. Fellow Disney property Marvel Comics released a five-issue comic last summer chronicling Leia’s own adventures just after she doesn’t give Chewie a medal in the closing scene of Star Wars: A New Hope.
