X-Men: Days of Future Past continues to move forward in a very interesting direction with more casting news today. Joining James McAvoy (Xavier) and Michael Fassbender (Magneto) for the First Class sequel, will be none other than Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan, who first brought the characters to the big screen. Bryan Singer announced the news through Twitter this morning, as well as officially announcing the returning cast from X-Men: First Class:

‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’ TV Series Is Moving Forward With Casting & Filming Announcements

We reported on the announcement that nerd king Joss Whedon would be crafting a new Marvel TV series based off of the super spy organization S.H.I.E.L.D. which you can check out here. ABC ordered the pilot, and there has been a bit of news dropped since then that it’s time for us to take a look at. Because right now as we wait for Marvel’s Phase 2 to come out I need to fill my head with anything Marvel related that I can. Which means you are coming along for the ride as I wildly speculate on where this show could be going.

Bryan Singer To Direct ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’, Nobody Is Really Surprised

When news broke that Matthew Vaughn was stepping back as director of X-Men: Days of Future Past, fans were a little surprised. The much-anticipated sequel to X-Men: First Class gained a ton of hype as soon as the title was announced, and Vaughn was expected to direct, off of a screenplay he worked on. With the announcement that he was off the project, but still on board as producer most thoughts turned to Bryan Singer taking over as director.

What Is Best In Life? ‘The Legend of Conan’ Starring Arnold Scwarzenegger!

Conan the Cimmerian has been a long standing character of fiction, dating back to 1932. Created by Robert E. Howard, Conan began crushing his enemies in pulp magazines like Weird Tales, and soon branched across all media with books, comics, cartoons, TV series, and movies. In 1982, we were presented with probably the most well-known and loved rendition of the character.

Conan the Barbarian featured Arnold Scwarzenegger in the title role, and pretty much started his ridiculously powerful action movie career. Not only is Conan the Barbarian a fine example of the character, it gave most of us our first taste of the legend to be known as Ah-nuld. He returned in the sequel, Conan the Destroyer, which is probably the best Conan movie ever made (unfortunately you can’t hear my sarcasm). We saw another rendition more recently with Jason Momoa taking over the title role. It was okay, but it certainly wasn’t Ah-nuld.

Countdown to Halloween #15: The Wolfman

Werewolves are scary. REAL Werewolves, not that Twilight garbage. Hundreds of werewolf stories have been told over the years, and the lycanthropic fiends are a key plot point in any monster movie, show, comic book, etc. I could probably spend all month talking about all the different versions of the werewolf tale, but instead I’m going to focus on some of the best cinematic examples of the most popular character in the werewolf mythology. Of course, I can only be talking about the Wolfman.

Countdown to Halloween #17: Eric Draven, The Crow

I’m sure nobody is at all surprised that Eric Draven has made it into our Countdown to Halloween. The Crow was a critical success and a fan favorite with a pretty huge cult following. But that isn’t where the story begins. The Crow started life as a comic book created by James O. Barr, and was an even darker and grittier story than the movie.
