The Old Guard: Charlize Theron Is Netflix’s New Immortal Ass-Kicker

Netflix has unveiled the first official trailer for the epic action fantasy movie from director Gina Prince-Bythewood, based on the graphic novel series of the same name by Greg Rucka.

Forever is harder than it looks. Led by a warrior named Andy (Charlize Theron), a covert group of tight-knit mercenaries with a mysterious inability to die have fought to protect the mortal world for centuries. But when the team is recruited to take on an emergency mission and their extraordinary abilities are suddenly exposed, it’s up to Andy and Nile (Kiki Layne), the newest soldier to join their ranks, to help the group eliminate the threat of those who seek to replicate & monetize their power by any means necessary.

Antebellum: Janelle Monáe Time Travels To Slavery Era America

Lionsgate has released three trailers for the horror-thriller Antebellum, starring singer/actress Janelle Monáe so far and we finally have a pretty good idea what the film is about.

While the first two trailers have been vague with just what’s in store for audiences, the most recent third trailer reveals some of the most impressive shots so far. The synopsis only states Monae portrays modern-day author Veronica Henley who “finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality & must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late.”

We’ve seen all too often movie sequels take missteps after great starts. Be it too many villains – the ’90s Batman sequels, Spider-Man 3, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, etc. – or too much reliance on bringing back past characters, which has been a big knock on much of the Disney-Era Star Wars Universe. Too much reliance on the Skywalkers makes a vast galaxy seem small.

Flash Gordon Returns With A New 4K Restoration Re-Release!

Studiocanal has debuted a new trailer for the 4K re-release (in the UK / Europe) of the camp sci-fi classic Flash Gordon.

Originally premiering in December of 1980, Flash Gordon was directed by English filmmaker Mike Hodges, who made Get Carter, Pulp, and The Terminal Man before making this film. The colorful adventure was Alex Raymond’s famous comic strip and blasted to life in what became a sci-fi cult classic.

When energy waves pull the moon out of orbit, New York Jets quarterback Flash Gordon unwittingly finds himself heading for the planet Mongo, where – with assistance from beautiful Dale Arden – he’ll take on Ming the Merciless and rescue humankind.

Becky: Kevin James Is An Extremely Dangerous and Bearded Killer

Quiver Distribution and Redbox Entertainment have released the first trailer for the new thriller, Becky and it stars Kevin James as a murderous Nazi. This ain’t The King of Queens!

The film follows spunky and rebellious, Becky (Lulu Wilson) who is brought to a weekend getaway at a lake house by her father Jeff (Joel McHale) in an effort to try to reconnect. The trip immediately takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (Kevin James), suddenly invade the lake house. Becky, not daddy’s little girl anymore, decides to take matters into her own hands.
