Death Race 2050; Corman Classic Getting Sequel in 2016

Frankenstein! Frankenstein the legend, Frankenstein the indestructible! Sole survivor of the titanic pile-up of ’95, only two-time winner of the Transcontinental Road Race… Frankenstein!

Now if that does not get you revved up for some late night cheesy science fiction action, then I don’t know what will! This quote is not referring to Mary Shelly’s creation; no this is another creation entirely which came from the mind of schlock film genius Roger Corman New World Pictures. His 1975 release Death Race 2000 is a must see for all fans of OTT humor and manic action scenes. If you like his recent Shark styled movies then this is the film for you.

Episode 23 – The One Where Goku Went Up To Fajita

Bob and Zipp are joined by Matt as the trio discuss the downfall of super hero movies, thick women, the potential rise of R rated movies, why Zipp hates Dragon Ball Z, fishing without a license, and crawfish boils.

Riverdale: Archie’s Return to TV Boasts Stars of Tomorrow and Yesteryear

Archie, Jughead, Betty, Veronica & the rest of the gang from Riverdale have been in the funnybooks for 75 years. But characters from Archie Comics also have a very rich television history — a memorable cartoon starring Archie and friends, another starring Josie and the Pussycats; a live-action hit concerning Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and more.

Now, even as the Archie Comics line has been undergoing a modern refresh by writers Mark Waid, Chip Zdarsky and a team of talented artists (including Fiona Staples, Erica Henderson, and Veronica Fish), there’s another modern take on Archie’s characters heading for a pilot on The CW. The one-hour drama is to be written by Archie Comics Chief Creative Officer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (also behind comics including Afterlife with Archie, and a writer on television shows including  ‘Glee’). And it seems some of the stars are a pleasant blast from television’s past.

From Princess To General: New Star Wars Canon Examines Leia’s Journey

The power of the force is stronger than ever, and the heroes of the Star Wars Saga are on fans minds as they haven’t been in decades. In honor of International Women’s Day, let us turn our thoughts to one of our bravest heroes, the rebel that started it all, Leia Organa (played by Carrie Fisher in the films). While fans well know the fate of her twin brother, her story is only just now being told.

From all corners of the Star Wars extended universe Leia’s back story is being laid out like so many puzzle pieces. Fellow Disney property Marvel Comics released a five-issue comic last summer chronicling Leia’s own adventures just after she doesn’t give Chewie a medal in the closing scene of Star Wars: A New Hope.
