With the opening of Man of Steel I figured it was about time we took to Pinterest to see just what kind of Superman related pins I could find. As usual, I was not disappointed.
Let’s start right off with a little biblical imagery. Of course Superman is [this] close to Jesus so it makes perfect sense. I’m considering finding a way to get this printed and framed on my wall. I think it would look amazing next to my Aquaman as John the Baptist painting.
I have no idea what is going on here but I feel as if I must have it. I mean who wouldn’t want a raccoon (right?) wearing a dishtowel carrying around a samuri sword? NO ONE. I have a feeling the DC Comics copyright department isn’t too worried about people mistaking this Man of Steel for the real deal.
Are you hosting a Man of Steel party and looking for the perfect dessert? Well look no further because this pin is actually a rather good tutorial on how to make some great looking Superman logo cookies. Actually, that’s a lie. The pin goes to the main page (major pet peeve) but this link here will take you to the actual post.
I love this. That’s all I can really say, I just love it. If you aren’t familiar with superhero movies and/or have been living under a rock for the last year, this is a version of the Iron Man 3 poster with obviously Henry Cavill’s Superman as opposed to Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man.
Awwww, who doesn’t love Krypto? I’m a dog person myself and I have a soft spot in my heart for Superman’s best friend. He does seem like the perfect dog. He can freeze things, his senses are superior to other dogs who already have heightened senses, and he can fly. I wish my dogs could fly as it would really save on travel costs – “Come on Ninja, fly me to St. Louis”. Oh to dream.
Not much to say about this one but, how cool is it to see the Superman logos through the years laid out like that? All I know is I really want a t-shirt of that 2003 Superman/Batman logo because that is awesome.
That wraps up this edition of Pinterest finds! Here’s hoping Man of Steel is as good as early reports say it is and in the words of the late great Roger Ebert, I’ll see you at the movies!
So in the wake of devastation left by last week’s Red Wedding, and in eager anticipation of the next horrible thing to happen to the noble Stark family, I’ve assembled 5 of my favorite GoT related parodies from the interwebs, where there was no shortage of things to choose from. As of late Thrones has become a phenomenon, supplanting The Sopranos with HBO’s highest rated season ever, and just last Sunday delivering what many have called the most brutal episode in the history of television. We saw Jimmy Fallon dedicate 10 minutes of his late night show for his Game of Desks, YouTube has given us the 3-episode School of Thrones webshow, and ComicbookGirl19 has made a real name for herself simply talking about the show. And while those videos are all worthwhile, what follows are the ones that in the midst of my ASoIaF obsession, I deemed the best.

The Wrap has just got news that popular video site YouTube has gotten its first paid for horror channel. Called Screampix it will charge $2.99 per month and will cater to all the screaming horror fans out there in dire need of a new fright flick fix. The channel debuted on Wednesday in the US and Canada and will be coming to the UK and other countries later on this year.
