Grizzly’s Casting Couch: ‘Justice League’

Man of Steel has proven itself to be a commercial success, if not entirely a critical one. But to the eyes of the studios it did exactly what it set out to do, which is make money. The sequel was officially greenlit before the film even came out, and the future of DC’s Cinematic Universe began to develop.

We were already working under the assumption that the recently ‘confirmed’ Justice League was dependent on the success of Superman’s big reboot, and since that went swimmingly it’s time to start looking forward. While we would still have a few years to wait for Justice League, we can start casting our dream team right now!

The moment this comic fan has been dreaming of, yet was never convinced would ever happen, just did.

With Fox’s X-Men franchise once again prospering due to the success of X-Men: First Class and the anticipation for the sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past, it was really only a matter of time until a spinoff movie happened. An interesting rumor started forming after it was discovered that Fox had purchased a domain name that revealed the possible direction the X-films will take.

First Look: Jamie Foxx’s Electro in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’

We have been following the sequel to Marc Webb’s Spider-man reboot pretty close for the last few months, as news and set pics keep revealing more and more about the film. A few months ago we were teased with a look at Jamie Foxx after his transformation to Electro, but aside from a few effects and makeup, there really wasn’t much to see. Entertainment Weekly has recently released a few covers for thier Comic-Con issue, and they offer our first good look at the costume of Electro and the make-up we saw earlier in full effect. Let’s take a look at the image after the jump:

Who Do You Trust? 12 Cinematic Governments That Scare the Crap Out of Us

Big Brother is Watching YouAs the resident bearded Canadian on staff, I spend a lot of time examining and sometimes criticizing my fellow writers various governments (and hygiene), despite the fact that my own government (and hygiene) is probably just as bad, if not worse than those I attack with conspiracy theories and kindness (I am Canadian, after all). While most of our banter is good humored and based off of a need to verbally attack each other, sometimes relevant facts do make it into the conversations.

Some of these relevant facts are usually discussed and related to using the films that feature some of the same issues governments of the world are dealing with every day, and it opened our eyes to the many different versions that evil governments take on film. With some recent public (and not so public) demonstrations against select governments of the world, it may be time to take a look (with minimal help from Kronner) at some of the films that feature the best ‘Evil’ Governments
