Secret Wars: What You Need To Know About Marvel’s Universe-Altering Event

We’ve been talking about a bunch of different comic universes over the last month, with news of DC Comics’ new direction after Convergence, Spidey in the MCU, and of course that Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer. What we haven’t discussed much of is Marvel Comics upcoming universe-altering event Secret Wars, which promises to bring an end to the current Marvel Universe as we know it, which will be known afterwards as the “All-New Marvel.”

New Avengers Poster A Mess, Daredevil Much Better

Recently we were introduced to the first poster from the highly anticipated Avengers: Age of Ultron, sequel to Marvel’s incredibly successful culmination of their shared universe experiment. We’ve been eating up and and all news and releases from Joss Whedon and crew as this movie comes closer to the theaters, but to be honest, we could have waited a little longer before seeing this poster. Check it out below before we start talking about it.

Ash vs Evil Dead: What We Know So Far

The man who told us all how and where to shop – “Shop smart. Shop S-Mart” – is heading to the small screen thanks to Starz and their new series; Ash vs Evil Dead.

While the Evil Dead series was originally planned to continue in the form of a sequel to 2014’s reboot, those plans were scrapped in favor of the TV series. Ash vs Evil Dead not only takes us back to the original continuity (and I use this term loosely) of the films, it will bring back the first and best threat to the evil Deadites – Ashley J. Williams, played by cult hero Bruce Campbell. Starz has ordered a 10-episode first season, and we’ve heard a bit of news from the series over the last few weeks as it gears up for production.

Masters of the Universe: First Image From New Movie?

We haven’t seen much from the upcoming reboot of the Masters of the Universe series since we last heard that director Jon M. Chu was out in favor of Jem and the Holograms. We also heard that a script rewrite has been handed in by Jeff Wadlow, who directed Kick-Ass 2 and has been connected to a rumored X-Force film for over a year now.

The latest news from the reboot comes from DeVon Franklin, the SVP of Production for Columbia, who has kept the news on this film alive over the last few months. He revealed on Twitter what appears to be a legitimate title card for Masters of the Universe, which would make this the first official image from the film if it is confirmed.

X-Men: Apocalypse – Bryan Singer Teases Concept Art

We’ve received another glimpse into the developing production of X-Men: Apocalypse, and once again it comes from Bryan Singer. Much like we saw as X-Men: Days of Future Past moved through production, Singer is always the first to drop any new images from the film.

Kirkman’s Outcast Get Series Order From Cinemax

Another drama from The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman is set to hit the small screen, as Cinemax has just given a series order for his newest comic, Outcast.

We first heard news at last year’s SDCC that Outcast had been picked up as a pilot by Cinemax, off of a script written by Kirkman himself. The script was developed internally by Fox International Channels, and then after a bit of a bidding war ended up with Cinemax. Apparently they liked what they have seen from the project so far, as 10 episodes have been ordered for the first season.
