A lot of websites will make a dream team of the best players. Hell, that’s what the All-Star Game is supposed to be. But no one ever has created a team based on the most perverted names, its true (I can’t back that up). I was sitting at the baseball game on Monday giggling like a 8-year-old at Doug Fister and wondered what a team of sexual innuendo’s and dirty sounding names would look like. I remember some of the greats like Steve Sax, Dick Pole and Rusty Kuntz, but I wanted to focus on current players.

Ron Swanson: An Interview and other Swanson News
Ron Swanson, the ultra-libertarian boss on Parks and Recreation, is a throwback character and a symbol of masculinity that Dr. Kronner seems to talk about a lot, here and here (I think he may be overcompensating). In the first season of the show, he served in a more limited role but they began to include him more and expand character and his background.

ESPN: The Movie
The ESPN tell-all book Those Guys Have All the Fun: Inside the World of ESPN has had the movie rights picked up by 21st Century Fox according to The Hollywood Reporter. Keith Olbermann and Dan Patrick, whom I loved while they were on SportsCenter – but can’t stand since, took some time to discuss the possibility of the movie on Olbermann’s show. They also then go on to discuss who should play some of their former ESPN colleagues. Olbermann and Patrick also cast themselves. Patrick gives himself Jason Bateman or Ryan Reynolds, and Olbermann throws up a picture of Josh Charles from Sports Night for himself, while Patrick says it should be Ben Affleck.
VERSUS to be Rebranded as NBC SPORTS
The cable sports network previously known as the Outdoor Life Network will now also previously be known as Versus, and be currently known as NBC Sports Network. This is all a result of the purchase of NBC Universal by Comcast, and an attempt to merge the two companies’ sports infrastructure. According to The Hollywood Reporter the name change will go into effect on January 2nd.

Although rumors of a done deal have been pending for what seems like weeks, negotiators and lawyers for the NFL and the NFLPA finally reached the actual agreement at 3:00am this morning. The deal is just waiting for final voting from the players, and a sign off from the litigants of the individual players’ suits against the league which is all expected to come later this afternoon.
NHL Goalie Loves ‘The Evil Dead’ – Steve Mason’s Tribute Mask
Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Steve Mason seems to be a bit of a horror fan. He has released some images of his new mask on Twitter. His new mask on one side, has the Ohio state flag, which is pretty bad ass for a flag given its cool shape.
On the other side of the helmet though are the ghosts of the civil war, which ties in with the name Blue Jackets and the Columbus third jersey which has a Civil War canon on it.
