ALF – The Movie??? Cats Everywhere are Terrified…

Hide your felines ladies and gents, because the cat hungry alien, ALF, might be making his way back. This time on the big screen. Of course we all remember the tv show, which ran from ’86-’90, and now ALF creator Paul Fusco has big plans for our alien friend.

According to the guys at Warming Glow, when Fusco couldn’t think of what to write next, he would simply ask ALF what the line should be. And wouldn’t you know it, ALF would actually answer him. Fusco will be pitching the idea to the studios in a few weeks.

Fusco said about the movie  “I think we would approach it in a fresh way. I don’t think we would duplicate the TV show, but I think we would maybe put it in a storyline where we would explain how ALF got here and put him with a new family and let the character speak for himself.”

Personally I loved ALF as a kid, and still enjoy it when I watch it occasionally on Netflix. But the question is, should this be dug up and made into a movie. Well, the folks over at Warming Glow obviously don’t think so. I think though, with the right elements, it could be kind of a fun throwback. It would have to be done in a certain way, to try to grasp that old feel, and honestly I don’t think it will be done correctly.

Why ‘True Blood: Season 5’ Won’t Make You Sad

1. The Authority.

First of all, Chris Meloni (Law and Order: SVU) looks like a total badass.  Cold and unfeeling with a little sadistic smirk – everything we’ve come to expect from a vampire personality.  He makes Edward Cullen look like a giant vagina.  The Authority looks as if it will bring a little background into the lives of vampires and a broader view of their society.

‘End of Watch’ Trailer Gives Cops the Shaky Cam Movie We’ve All Been Asking For

Shaky cam!!!

Jake Gyllenhaal is back on our radar with a new cop movie (Co-Starring Michael Peña, who is awesome in general by the way). It is a story told through dash cams, eyewitness phones and cameras, yada, yada, yada. It is supposed to be gritty and organic and realistic. Reality television, only not as corny right? I mean, it looks okay to be honest. As long as it does not come off as gimmicky as it sounds, it could be a good movie.

Plus is that Anna Kendrick? I’d watch a movie with her that’s not Twilight. And Natalie Martinez from Detroit 187? Yeah, I watch that, I need my Detective Sanchez fix.

End of Watch, Anna Kendrick, Natalie Martinez

Too bad they had to be like “from the writer of The Fast and the Furious.” Because that was possibly the worst dialogue for a movie not released direct to DVD. – “I smell…skanks. Why don’t you girls pack it up before I leave tread marks on your face.”

You know what’s worse than that line? Having Michelle Rodriguez deliver it. So yeah…we’ll see about this movie.

The Reboot of ‘Van Helsing’ Nobody Asked For…

It seems like only 8 years ago, people were watching and being disappointed by the movie Van Helsing, starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale. Now if you’re thinking to yourself, “Man, isn’t it time they remake that film?” then I have to ask, what the hell is wrong with you? But according to the  boys over at FilmDrunk, that’s exactly what is happening. Ait get’s better folks, Tom Cruise is said to be attached to this remake.

Hitchcock Biography: Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Red Forman and The Karate Kid

A Hitchcock Biography sounds like a perfect idea for a film. The man was a genius, with over 60 titles to his credit he gave us such classics as Psycho, Rear Window, North by Northwest, The Birds, and Vertigo. He was a truly brilliant filmmaker. The folks at Left Hand Horror give the official press release from Fox Searchlight. In it  they say that principal photography began April 13th. The film stars Anthony Hopkins as Hitchcock. The cast also includes Academy Award® winner Helen Mirren as Hitchcok’s wife. The ever beautiful Scarlett Johansson, Jessica Biel, Toni Collette of Little Miss Sunshine and Sixth Sense fame, and to round it all off we also have Red Forman (Kurtwood Smith) and Daneilson (Ralph Macchio), who most likely will have something to do involving boots and asses.
