Last season, the third in Arrow‘s run – was arguably its weakest. Teased many times with Thea’s death, only to be thwarted time and again, leaving her free to annoy viewers for ever more it would seem. Now though, just a few weeks away from the start of the fourth season, some new blood looks to reinvigorate the series.
Season 3 spoilers to follow…Before I say anymore, you should watch the trailer;

Alright then, there it is. As expected Oliver and Felicity’s happy life together, and the subsequent retiring of the Arrow don’t last, and Ollie is summoned back to the newly christened Star City to pick up the bow again. Obviously.
Now, what did we actually see; Felicity is hanging out with Curtis Holt (aka Mr. Terrific), Damien Darhk is in town (played by Band of Brothers and Justified alum Neal McDonough), and Speedy (#theastillunpackingboxes?) is feeling the effects of the Lazarus Pit.

That’s all well and good – but the two items we are going to focus on right now are the Johns. First off, Matt Ryan will reprise his role from the canceled NBC show Constantine, but unlike the previously reported ‘one time only’ it might be a more substantial stay.
Producer Marc Guggenheim;
When you see him in the show, honestly it feels like we’re doing a Constantine/Arrow crossover, and it’s so exciting… We’re just really glad we got the chance to extend Matt Ryan’s run as Constantine by at least one more hour of television. I think you’ll see he fits very neatly into our universe. It never feels forced, it feels right. Stephen’s on screen vibe with Matt is just very natural, it’s as if these guys had been working together forever.
So there is no official word on more episodes right now, but given the CW lineup, it’d be real hard to believe this doesn’t end up a multiple time thing, with Constantine showing up on Flash and Legends of Tomorrow from time to time.
Now on to Diggle…or should we call him BLACK MAGNETO! For all the sweet costumes on this show, sure seems like Diggs got the short end of the stick.

I sure hope this looks cooler in action, cause right now all I keep thinking is – Diggle deserves better.
Finally, last week at Dragon Con in Atlanta, during the Arrow panel, Ronda Rousey was brought up. A fan asked if Rousey could potentially appear on the show, likely given Amell’s recent WWE crossovers. Here was the response from the cast;
Katie Cassidy: That would be amazing. Could you make that happen?
Stephen Amell: Ronda Rousey could replace me for an episode if she wants! Ronda Rousey can literally do anything she wants at this point … To me… To the show.
John Barrowman: I’d watch that!
So normally, this kind of thing wouldn’t even be worth mentioning, but given Rousey’s recent popularity, and how much attention this got, we wouldn’t be shocked to see her in a guest spot at some point. Here is the whole panel if you’re interested.
Arrow’s fourth season kicks off on October 7 on the CW. Let us know what you think in the comments or on the Bookface and Tweeter things…
Oh – and I almost forgot – the return of Caity Lotz’s Sara Lance!!!
