Tucker and Dale Versus Evil 2 Confirmed in Development!

There aren’t too many horror films these days that make their way onto my must watch list. Sure we get the occasional really scary film like The Conjuring, or a bit more cerebral fare like It Follows, and of course we made no secret of our love of Cabin in the Woods. But today we are going to talk about another ‘horror’ film that has made it onto not only my “Must see” list, and then onto my “Hey, watch this” list.

Tucker and Dale vs. Evil impressed us when it first came out with its limited run in theaters, but has developed a cult audience over the last few years, made up of others who also fell in love with the oddball horror-comedy. This cult following collectively jumped for joy at the news that there is a sequel officially in development!

Adrianne Palicki to Lead New Agents of SHIELD Spin-Off

As if the recent flood of comic book movies wasn’t enough to prove the geeks will inherit the earth, ABC has just put in an order for Marvels Most Wanted, an Agents of SHIELD spin-off set to star Adrianne Palicki, whose character Bobbi Morse (Mockingbird) kicked major butt for SHIELD last season.

Slimmest of Possibilities; Rumors Swirl Around Deadwood Movie

From 2004-2006 HBO ran one of the best shows in the premium network’s history. That show was Deadwood, and it told a story of early South Dakota, and how a mining camp became a city. The story was told with a Shakespearean poetry to the dialogue, spoken by colorful characters and boasting a cast of extremely talented actors.  But the story wasn’t cheap to tell, costing HBO about $5 million an episode to produce, and failed to get the kind of ratings that they saw with The Sopranos, so despite an excellently crafted and incredibly intense end to season three, the show was canceled.

Weird & Wacky World of Comics: Dead Pooh (2012)

Dead Pooh as you would imagine, is a hybrid of the Winnie the Pooh stories and the Deadpool comic. It is a weird combination to say the least, but that is what we are given. The plot revolves around our hero Sandy (AKA Dead Pooh). After the tragic framing and jailing of his innocent parents, he is left in the care of his Uncle Moo. Here he is trained in the arts of the ninja and becomes the scourge of the criminal underworld. His arch nemesis is The Candy King, a human being trapped in a world full of human animals. Underground he runs his criminal empire, while also creating strange Gummi Bear warriors who obey his every command. It is up to Dead Pooh to weed out these trouble causers and give them what for.

Sony Unveils New System Bundle in time for the Holidays

The love-fest to all that is Disney, the D23 Expo, took place this weekend in Anaheim. And lo, much rejoicing rang through the halls as Disney revealed information ranging from Toy Story 4 to giving the audience their first glimpses of Dr. Strange and the next Captain America film.  But that is a topic for a different conversation.  Instead, let us turn our attention to a galaxy far, far away for this bit of information.
