Star Wars: Lost Stars Weaves Epic Tale Through Familiar Events

Claudia Gray’s new young adult novel Star Wars: Lost Stars continues the Journey to Star Wars The Force Awakens that novels have been taking in the lead up to the film. And it’s a really, really engrossing story spanning about 20 years. The novel picks up 8 years after Revenge of the Sith and tells the tale of two children, Thane Kyrell and Cienna Ree from the planet Jelucan, who will go on to take place in many of the key events from the original trilogy of films.

Star Wars: Lords of the Sith Delivers on the Evil…And It’s So Good

We’re going to take a look at one of the earlier novels in the new official Star Wars canon, Star Wars: Lords of the Sith by Paul S. Kemp. The story takes place about 14 years prior to the beginning of the original story, and is mostly focused on Emperor Palpatine, Darth Vader and their relationship as master and apprentice respectively. The majority of the novel takes place on the twi’lek home world of Ryloth.

Star Wars Legends: A Look at 10 of the Best Non-Canon Stories

As most of you reading this already know, when Disney acquired the rights to Star Wars, all of the previously released Expanded Universe content was discarded as not being official canon. While all that material was officially licensed by Lucasfilm, George Lucas himself didn’t particularly consider it “canon” anyways. In any case, Disney’s decision to declare all of that material as not being canon had to be so in order to allow for creative freedom for the new films.

Nonetheless, it’s still a hard pill to swallow for some so we’re going to celebrate a few of the best stories from what is now Star Wars Legends…

Fun with Star Wars The Force Awakens Trailer Edits

Along with the previously released teaser trailers for Star Wars The Force Awakens, fans were finally given the full trailer during halftime of ESPN’s Monday Night Football on October 19. Additionally, the teasers and the full trailer have given fans footage enough to edit into new versions of trailers that are sure to entertain fans until the movie finally arrives in December and we’re here to bring some of them to you.

The Force Awakens: Why Rey and Kylo Ren Are Not Siblings

*The below will contain spoilers for the Legacy of the Force (Not-Canon) series of novels as well as a mild spoiler from the Shattered Empire comic (Canon)*

It’s one of the most popular theories out there surrounding The Force Awakens, that Kylo Ren and Rey are brother and sister. More specifically that they are going to essentially be an adaptation of Jacen and Jaina Solo, Han and Leia’s twins from material that is no longer canon. Here’s why I don’t think it’s likely that they’re twins, much less siblings.
