Rick and Morty’s Five Most SQUANCHING Episodes of the Best Show You’re Not Watching

Adult Swim has put out some really strange shows before, and while Rick and Morty is nothing but strange, it is almost undeniably one of the best shows on TV right now. Rick and Morty was created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon (Community), and maintains a steadily increasing 9.3 rating on IMDB.

The animated brilliance revolves around an always drunk, constantly burping, genius scientist named Rick Sanchez, and his painfully average grandson Morty Smith. Episode to episode they travel through space and time, either saving the world, or putting it and other worlds in danger, usually both. Two seasons and 21 episodes later, the show continues to gain speed and deliver stellar  entertainment value. Not only does this show have laugh out loud humor, but it is exceptionally intelligent.

So without further fluffing, here’s our five favorite episodes:

Multiple Promos for Gotham: 2.03 – The Last Laugh

The sophomore season of Gotham has started off pretty strong, the show shifting a larger focus onto the city’s villains. In doing so, they have again proved just how inept most of the GCPD really is. Arkham escapes, police murdered, and the good guys apparently powerless to stop it all.

A whole new plot has been introduced, new characters, potential villains, and of course the ongoing storyline that has been carried over from last season, all made its way into the new episode.

Spoilers ahead…

Jessica Jones: NetFlix Releases New Trailers for Marvel Show

I like Jessica Jones. I enjoyed her intro in Marvel’s MAX imprint Alias #1, and subsequent appearances throughout the rest of the Marvel universe like the Young Avengers. And that’s unusual for me: I typically prefer my heroes to be super-heroic and part of team books like the X-Men. But Jones, a retired superhero more at home solo in dark alleys and chasing mysteries noir-style, appealed to my growing desire for more adult, contemporary stories outside of whom is dating whom in the superhero jet set (here’s glaring at you, Superman / Wonder Woman).
