Sam Rockwell and Vin Diesel Talk Marvel, Plus Doctor Strange’s New Role in the MCU?

With San Diego Comic-Con just a couple of weeks away, news from the major studios will be relatively slim, as they prepare most big announcements for the fan favorite event. So what better time than now to take a look at a few of the rumors and discussions that just might hold us over until SDCC.

First up we have Sam Rockwell discussing the future of Justin Hammer in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe, as if we really have to keep explaining this). He was pretty much the best part of Iron Man 2, and his return to the MCU would be welcomed by fans. Even if it was just to see some of those sweet, sweet, dance moves. Here’s what he had to say on Justin Hammer’s potential in the MCU:

‘Beware the Batman’ Releases a Sizzle Reel and Our First Look at the Opening Credits!

Batman in many forms has graced the small screen with his presence for years, but has recently been off the air for a few months (since Young Justice was cancelled), which is far too long to be without a Batman cartoon. Thankfully, Cartoon Network is bringing a brand new series set to debut on July 13th called Beware the Batman that takes a new look at the Dark Knight.

Edgar Wright May Have Found His Ant-Man! Rumors and Speculation Ahead! [UPDATED]

There has been a lot of Marvel discussion lately regarding the recent announcements of the 3 mystery release dates, but not a lot of talk about the first film of Marvel’s Phase Three; Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man. So you can probably imagine that today we will be discussing some Ant-Man rumors that have been swirling.

There isn’t really a question as to why we haven’t heard much from Ant-Man, because we’ve known for a while that Wright wouldn’t start production on Ant-Man until after The World’s End wrapped up, which is pretty much now as it gets ready for release. There have been a lot of names thrown around as star of Ant-Man, most common being Nathan Fillion due to his sheer awesomeness and connections to Joss Whedon. Also, he’s a Geek god and would no doubt draw a crowd to the film, but we have to STOP ASKING FOR NATHAN FILLION AS ANT-MAN! Sorry, sorry, it’s hard to let go.

John C. Reilly Cast as Rhomann Dey in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’… We Think…

We already reported on the rumors of John C. Reilly’s involvement with James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which was mainly connected with the character of Rhomann Dey. In the comics Dey was the Nova Corps member who selected the first Earth born Nova (Richard Rider), but his role in the movie was said to be a human who acted as a liaison between S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Guardians. This was of course just a rumor, and recent casting news has raised some interesting questions.
