I think the new Superior Spider-Man storyline from Dan Slott has been pretty interesting so far, and it’s kind of intense watching Ock-Spidey interact with the supporting cast, waiting to see who’s going to realize that’s not Pete first. Of course, right alongside Superior is Chris Yost’s Avenging Spider-Man, where we basically get to see Ock-Spidey interact with the rest of the Marvel U., which is actually kind of amusing while still a little upsetting, as Otto is managing to pull it off so far.
Spidey has previously encountered both the X-Men and Daredevil in the Marvel U., but while some eyebrows may have been raised, the secret has yet to come out. Which is pretty impressive, considering he was among Wolverine, telepath Rachel Grey, and Daredevil, who is arguably his best friend in tights. Yost and Paco Medina continue their side of the story in our latest Marvel Preview:[box_dark]Marvel is pleased to present your first look at Avenging Spider-Man #17 from the red-hot creative team of Chris Yost & Paco Medina! I have to say, it’s a little frightening seeing Ock-Spidey interact with the kids of the FF, but as he is infused with a ton of Parker goodness and occupying the same space as She-Hulk everything should obviously run smoothly. It’s certainly a different situation for Otto, and it’s exciting to watch his development from ruthless villain to… well… whatever it is he’s becoming.
Avenging Spider-Man #17 hits your LCS on Feb. 27th.
